Wild Rice Pilaf
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup wild rice
  • 1/2 cup long-grain white rice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups chicken broth

Steps
  1. In a large saucepan, combine the wild and white rice.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and celery; cook and stir until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Add the garlic; cook 1 minute longer.
  4. Stir in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Stir in the wild and white rice. Cover and simmer 25 minutes longer or until liquid is absorbed.
  7. Fluff with a fork before serving.
