Whole Wheat Bread
Ingredients
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

Steps
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water.
  3. Add honey and oil to the yeast mixture.
  4. Mix together the wet and dry ingredients until they form a dough.
  5. Knead the dough for 10 minutes, adding more flour if necessary.
  6. Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  7. Punch down the dough, shape into a loaf, and place it in an oiled loaf pan. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise again for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake bread for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before slicing.
