Ingredients
  • 1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, mash the black beans with a fork.
  2. Add the cooked brown rice, rolled oats, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin and paprika. Mix until combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with oil.
  5. Cook the patties for 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
