- 1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup cooked brown rice
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a medium bowl, mash the black beans with a fork.
- Add the cooked brown rice, rolled oats, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin and paprika. Mix until combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with oil.
- Cook the patties for 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
