- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup plant-based milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons applesauce
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the plant-based milk, vegetable oil and applesauce.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Preheat a waffle iron and spray with nonstick spray.
- Scoop 1/3 cup of batter into preheated waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Repeat with remaining batter.
