Veg Uttapam
Ingredients
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/2 cup urad dal
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Steps
  1. Soak the rice and urad dal together overnight.
  2. Grind the soaked rice and urad dal into a fine paste.
  3. Add cumin seeds, salt, and mix well.
  4. Heat a non-stick tawa on medium flame and grease it with oil.
  5. Pour a ladleful of the batter on the tawa and spread it out evenly in a circular shape.
  6. Drizzle some oil around the edges of the uttapam.
  7. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 2-3 minutes or until the edges start to brown slightly.
  8. Flip over to cook on the other side for another 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
