- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- In a medium saucepan, combine the cream, milk, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is hot and the sugar has dissolved.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Transfer to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
