Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Steps
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the cream, milk, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is hot and the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Transfer to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions.
  5. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
