- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch pie plate.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. In a medium bowl, beat eggs with sugar, vanilla and salt. Gradually stir in melted butter.
- Slowly pour in milk while stirring constantly. Pour mixture into prepared pie plate.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until set. Cool before serving.
- Optional: Serve with whipped cream and fresh fruit
