Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. In a medium bowl, beat eggs with sugar, vanilla and salt. Gradually stir in melted butter.
  3. Slowly pour in milk while stirring constantly. Pour mixture into prepared pie plate.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until set. Cool before serving.
  5. Optional: Serve with whipped cream and fresh fruit
