Tuna Roll
Ingredients
  • 4 sheets of sushi nori
  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 1/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1/2 pound fresh tuna, cut into thin strips
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Steps
  1. Place the nori on a sushi mat, shiny side down.
  2. Spread the cooked rice over the nori, leaving 1/2-inch of space on the top edge.
  3. Mix the vinegar into the rice. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  4. Arrange the tuna in a single layer over the rice.
  5. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise over the tuna.
  6. Roll up the sushi using your hands and fingers to press and shape it into a cylinder.
  7. Cut into 8 equal pieces with a sharp knife. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi.
