- 4 sheets of sushi nori
- 2 cups cooked sushi rice
- 1/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar
- 1/2 pound fresh tuna, cut into thin strips
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- Place the nori on a sushi mat, shiny side down.
- Spread the cooked rice over the nori, leaving 1/2-inch of space on the top edge.
- Mix the vinegar into the rice. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Arrange the tuna in a single layer over the rice.
- Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise over the tuna.
- Roll up the sushi using your hands and fingers to press and shape it into a cylinder.
- Cut into 8 equal pieces with a sharp knife. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi.
