Tortillas
Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Steps
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt and baking powder.
  2. Add the oil and warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 15 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball of dough into a thin circle.
  6. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place one of the tortillas in the skillet and cook for about 1 minute on each side until lightly browned.
  7. Repeat with remaining tortillas. Serve warm or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
