- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup warm water
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt and baking powder.
- Add the oil and warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball of dough into a thin circle.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place one of the tortillas in the skillet and cook for about 1 minute on each side until lightly browned.
- Repeat with remaining tortillas. Serve warm or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
