Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Steps
  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook and stir until tender.
  2. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Serve over your favorite pasta!
