- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (110 degrees F)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar and yeast.
- Stir in the warm water and olive oil.
- Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide into two pieces.
- Roll each piece of dough into a 12-inch circle.
- Transfer to greased pizza pans or baking sheets. Top with desired toppings and bake at 425 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
