Thai Basil Tofu
Ingredients
  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3/4 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Steps
  1. Press the tofu to remove excess liquid. Cut into cubes and set aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add the tofu cubes and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the vegetable broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, and oyster sauce. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Stir in the basil leaves and serve hot.
