- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3 cups fresh basil leaves, torn into pieces
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Add garlic and ginger; cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in oyster sauce, soy sauce and sugar. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add basil leaves; toss to combine. Cook for 2 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
- Serve hot.
