Teriyaki Tofu Bow…
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger root
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 14 ounces extra-firm tofu, drained and cubed
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 3 cups cooked white rice

Steps
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the remaining 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil with the teriyaki sauce mixture.
  4. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the tofu and stir to coat. Cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  5. Divide cooked white rice into 4 bowls. Top each bowl with equal amounts of teriyaki tofu.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds (optional).
