Tempura
Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Steps
  1. In a bowl, lightly beat the egg and water together.
  2. Gradually add the flour to form a batter.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep-fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  4. Dip the vegetables into the batter, and carefully place them into the hot oil.
  5. Fry until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels.
