- 1 large sweet potato, cooked and mashed
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large bowl, mash the sweet potato.
- Add the black beans, oats, onion, garlic, olive oil, chili powder, cumin powder and salt and pepper.
- Mix until everything is combined.
- Form into 4 patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the burgers and cook for about 5 minutes on each side.
- Serve with your favorite toppings.
