Ingredients
  • 1 large sweet potato, cooked and mashed
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps
  1. In a large bowl, mash the sweet potato.
  2. Add the black beans, oats, onion, garlic, olive oil, chili powder, cumin powder and salt and pepper.
  3. Mix until everything is combined.
  4. Form into 4 patties.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the burgers and cook for about 5 minutes on each side.
  6. Serve with your favorite toppings.
