- Nori seaweed
- Sushi rice
- Fish or vegetables of your choice
- Lay the nori on a sushi mat with the shiny side down
- Spread the sushi rice evenly over the nori, leaving 1/2 inch of nori uncovered at the far end
- Place your choice of fish or vegetables in a line on top of the rice, near the end closest to you
- Roll up the sushi mat, pressing firmly to form a tight roll
- Cut into 8 equal pieces and serve
