- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and corn syrup.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder; stir into the creamed mixture.
- Press dough into an ungreased 9 inch pie plate.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in preheated oven, or until golden brown.
- Cool before filling with ice cream of your choice.
