- 3 cups fresh rhubarb, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, cut into small pieces
- 1 9-inch pie crust
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, mix together the rhubarb, strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg and salt. Stir until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Pour mixture into the prepared pie crust and dot with butter.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly.
- Let cool before serving.
