Strawberry Pie
Ingredients
  • 1 9-inch deep dish pie crust
  • 6 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg and salt. Mix until evenly distributed.
  3. Pour the strawberry mixture into the unbaked pie shell.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  5. Allow to cool before serving.
