- 1 9-inch deep dish pie crust
- 6 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg and salt. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into the unbaked pie shell.
- Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Allow to cool before serving.
