- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the chopped strawberries and stir to combine.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
