Sticky Rice
Ingredients
  • 2 cups uncooked long-grain white rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine

Steps
  1. Rinse the rice in a fine-mesh strainer until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, water, and butter.
  3. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  4. Reduce heat to low and cover.
  5. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
  7. Serve warm.
