Spring Rolls
Ingredients
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 1/2 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger root
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Steps
  1. In a large bowl, combine the pork, shrimp, green onions, cilantro, garlic, ginger root, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and sesame oil.
  2. Mix well and let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions.
  4. Place each portion in the center of a spring roll wrapper.
  5. Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling and roll up tightly.
  6. Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  7. Fry spring rolls until golden brown on all sides.
  8. Drain on paper towels.
