- 4 ounces self-raising flour
- 4 ounces shredded suet
- 4 ounces currants
- 4 ounces sultanas
- 4 ounces sugar
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 pint of milk
- Sift the flour and salt into a bowl.
- Add the suet, currants, sultanas, sugar and mixed spice.
- Stir in enough milk to make a soft dough.
- Roll out the dough on a floured board to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut into rounds or squares.
- Place on greased baking tray and cook for about 25 minutes at 350°F.
