- 1 package of extra firm tofu
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger root
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Press the tofu between paper towels to remove any excess moisture. Cut the tofu into cubes and set aside.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, bell pepper, garlic, and ginger. Cook for 5 minutes or until vegetables are softened.
- Add the tofu to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until everything is heated through.
- Serve hot over cooked rice.
