Spaghetti
Ingredients
  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups tomato sauce

Steps
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the red pepper flakes, if desired. Stir in the tomato sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Drain the spaghetti and add it to the sauce. Simmer for another 5 minutes or so to let the flavors blend.
  5. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
