- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- salt and pepper to taste
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook beef, onion and garlic until beef is browned.
- Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, basil, salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 1 hour.
- Serve over cooked spaghetti.
