- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 3 cups crumbled cornbread
- 3 cups crumbled white bread
- 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and celery, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine cornbread, white bread, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper.
- Stir in the cooked vegetables and eggs.
- Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
