- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Whisk in the chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until thickened.
- Serve warm.
