Soft Pretzels
Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Steps
  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, salt and yeast. Stir until the yeast is dissolved.
  2. Add the flour and stir until a dough forms. Knead the dough for 5 minutes or until it is smooth and elastic.
  3. Divide the dough into 12 pieces and roll each piece into a rope about 18 inches long.
  4. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Shape each rope into a pretzel shape and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
