- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 pounds beef cheeks, trimmed of fat and sinew
- 1 cup beef stock
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the thyme, garlic powder, smoked paprika and black pepper. Stir to combine.
- Add the beef cheeks and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
- Transfer the beef cheeks to a slow cooker. Pour in the beef stock.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is very tender.
- Serve with your favorite sides.
