Skillet Cornbread
Ingredients
  • 1 cup of yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  3. Add the milk and vegetable oil and stir until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into a greased 8-inch cast iron skillet.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly golden brown on top.
