Shasta Pie
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and salt until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour and cocoa; stir into the creamed mixture.
  5. Spread evenly into an ungreased 9 inch pie plate.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool before serving.
