- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Using a pastry blender or two knives, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the milk until just combined.
- Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently about 10 times.
- Pat or roll dough into an 8-inch circle about 3/4-inch thick.
- Cut into 8 wedges and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
