Scones
Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 cup whole milk

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Using a pastry blender or two knives, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk until just combined.
  5. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently about 10 times.
  6. Pat or roll dough into an 8-inch circle about 3/4-inch thick.
  7. Cut into 8 wedges and place on prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
