- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Gruyere cheese, grated
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate together until smooth.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and mix until combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in the mushrooms and cheese.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
