Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps
  1. Heat the oven to 250 degrees F. Place the popcorn kernels and oil in a large bowl, stir to combine and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Stir until combined and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and stir with a rubber spatula until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the popcorn evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and cool completely before serving.
