- 1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- Heat the oven to 250 degrees F. Place the popcorn kernels and oil in a large bowl, stir to combine and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Stir until combined and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and stir with a rubber spatula until evenly coated.
- Spread the popcorn evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and cool completely before serving.
