- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup salted caramel sauce, divided
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
- Press half of the dough into the prepared pan. Spread 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce over the dough. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the caramel sauce.
- Crumble remaining dough over the top of the chocolate chips. Drizzle remaining 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly golden brown on top. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
