- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt; gradually stir into the egg mixture.
- Spread evenly into prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in preheated oven. Do not overbake! Cool before cutting into squares.
- Melt caramel topping and drizzle over brownies. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes.
