Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt; gradually stir into the egg mixture.
  5. Spread evenly into prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in preheated oven. Do not overbake! Cool before cutting into squares.
  7. Melt caramel topping and drizzle over brownies. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes.
