- 3-4 lb pork shoulder
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups root beer
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large roasting pan, combine pork shoulder, onion, garlic and root beer.
- Cover with foil and bake for 2 hours or until pork is tender.
- Remove from oven and shred pork using two forks.
- In a small bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and smoked paprika.
- Pour over shredded pork and stir to combine.
- Return to the oven uncovered for an additional 15 minutes or until desired consistency is achieved.
- Serve with your favorite sides.
