- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups water
- Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat.
- Once boiling, stir in the rice, cover, and reduce the heat to low.
- Simmer for 18 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and serve.
