Rice Pilaf
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps
  1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add rice and stir to coat with butter. Cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add chicken broth and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 18 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes before serving.
