- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 cups water
- In a large saucepan, cook beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
- Stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and water. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
- Serve over cooked noodles or rice if desired.
