- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3/4 cup warm water (110 degrees F)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
- Add the yeast mixture and oil to the flour mixture. Stir until blended.
- Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll or press dough into desired shape.
