Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Stir in flour and salt; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in cold water.
  5. Mix in cheese and onion; spoon into pie crust.
  6. In a medium bowl, beat eggs with soup; pour over cheese mixture.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool before serving.
