Petunia Bread
Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and add egg, buttermilk and oil. Mix until just moistened.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
